The Chance to Run 250: A Journey Interrupted, A Mission Unshaken

Life is full of economic decisions – what do I mean by that? Precisely what economics is: the choices and decisions of people in a world with limited resources and unlimited decisions. People everywhere have innumerable chances to act each day. This May, I have the unique opportunity to run an exciting race; one that will push me farther than anything I have experienced before. A new chance to experience the beauty of God’s creation. I am very thankful for, not only this opportunity, but also the many opportunities I have had in my lifetime. 

The greatest chance that I am grateful for is the opportunity to hear the gospel, repent and accept Christ, and to live for God. As sinful human beings, we are born unable to be flawless before God. There is nothing we could ever do in action or speech to make our stand before God blameless. Because of these sinful tendencies all men are deserving of wrath, but there is hope. You have probably heard it before that “God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16. Christ died on my behalf and yours and he rose again from the dead. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Jesus Christ. This is the chance that I have been given: that I might live. And I offer two chances to you today 

1) To accept Christ as your Lord and savior, repenting of your sins that you may be made sinless through Christ. And having done so live in obedience J 

2) To support our causes financially through this race as we work to raise funds for those suffering around the world and the people who help them.
